Fishing this week – well let’s just say the fish are probably as tired of the rain as we are. According to the USGS Water Resource Data website as of today, February 13, our Clinch River was measured to be flowing at 6050 cubic feet per second at the Cleveland site. The water has warmed up a little this week, topping out at 48 degrees Fahrenheit this morning. This can be translated to: river isn’t going to be fishable for a while, so come see what new items we have in this week! Oxbow – well she’s a little dingy and spilling out of her banks as well but you may pull a fish or two out. If you do venture to a body of water that is fishable, the almanac says this weekend will be excellent for fishing! Maybe don’t count out a trip to South Holston or Cherokee – if you go, let us know how it is!
As for new fishing items this week we have 2 new colors of the Z-Man Finesse TRD: Perfect Perch and Hot Snakes. We have also added 1/8oz Z-Man Chatterbaits to our selection! We have restocked the Abu Garcia Black Max 3 baitcast reels and we have a few options in Bobby Garland swimbaits.
ATV – Spearhead trails are open year-round and present new challenges as the weather changes. One of our favorite trails to ride on, during or after a good bit of rain, is trail 12. Full of shallow mudholes on a dry day, this trail is sure to bring a muddy smile to everyone’s face in this wet weather. We do carry some rain gear and we have permits on hand to get you on the trails this weekend.
Firearms – If getting muddy or going fishing aren’t on your agenda, come see what new firearms we have in this week. We have the SCCY CPX-2 Crimson/Black on sale for $225! This excludes any additional discount but it does come with a free Allen holster! Our featured classic firearm this week is a Winchester Model 06 rifle, circa 1918. It is used but in very good condition. This would make a great addition to any collection. We offer layaway and financing options for all firearms. We can also special order firearms and usually receive them in store within 2-3 business days.
Clothing & Unique Items – We offer a wide variety of gently worn, pre-owned clothing. This week we have restocked Columbia and Woolrich items. We also have a “unique find of the week” featuring an antique French Portieux Vallerysthal Blue Milk Glass Squirrel on Acorn covered candy dish produced in 1908.
