How did you spend your first week of Spring? We have been doing some Spring cleaning and rearranged the store a little to make room for more items. We are excited to bring you new products and expand our current selection.
The river is flowing at 631cfs this morning, so it is almost looking great for fishing and kayaking. We are looking forward to a few kayak trips in the next few days so maybe we will see you out there! The water temperature has risen to 52 degrees Fahrenheit so the fish should be moving around a little more. The weather is looking good for the rest of this week, with only a small percent chance of rain. The beginning of next week will see us off to a cool start but warmer temps are just around the corner!
We have several new items in this week, including a variety of bucktail jigs. We have a variety of sizes of the red and white bucktail jigs for your Spring fishing needs! We have several lipless crankbaits and square bill crankbaits in stock now. Also, the Long A Bomber will be back in stock tomorrow for those of you who missed out last week. Also, we have small, medium and large minnows, as well as shiners, in stock now!
Have you been watching any of the MLF Fishing Tournament? Kelly Jordan set a new Bass Pro Tour single-day record with a whopping 82-4 pounds on 26 fish! He was using the new, and wildly popular, Evergreen Z-Man Jack Hammer. We have a few in stock now and more on the way so reserve yours now. We also have the new Terminator Shudder Bait in stock, so come check it out too!
The river is at a perfect level for kayaking and kayak fishing right now! Call and book your trip now! We are still taking reservations for our guided educational kayak trip on April 27. On this trip, you will learn about the history of the Clinch, threatened and endangered species as well as some important recreational information. This 2.5-hour float trip will also include a box lunch from Milton’s Trailhead Grille! We look forward to seeing you on the river. Space is filling up fast so hurry and reserve your spot today!
The featured firearm of the week is the Savage Axis 308 rifle combo with Weaver 3-9x40mm scope for only $319.99! This firearm weighs only 6.5 pounds and would make a great hunting rifle!
We have increased our ammo selection and expanded our selection of 223 ammo. We also have Anderson Lowers in stock now for only $47.99! If there is something specific you are looking for, let us know and we will do our best to get it for you.
Doing some Spring cleaning? We have plenty of accessories to clean your firearms! Check out our all-inclusive kits or let us order you something specific.
This week’s unique item is a 1928 “Standard” Road Map of the Middle Atlantic States. This map was published by the Standard Oil Company of New Jersey. Curious to see what our road system looked like 90 years ago? Check out this vintage map the next time you stop by!
Thank you for reading again this week! We look forward to seeing you on the river in the near future. Until then, get outside and "Clinch Life!"
